The Four Arcs
The island regions of the Four Arcs host ruins left there by those who abandoned the Realm over a thousand years before—in the West, Olympian statues and underground labyrinths; in the East, mountain-top shrines; in the South, stone pyramids rising above the jungle; and in the seat of power in the Mainland North, stone circles and Roman baths.
The ancients left behind their Wards, objects with the collective power to clear the veil surrounding the Arcs. But at the onset of the 20th century, the old Leader buried the Wards and sealed the waters against outside influence. His successor hopes to open the waters again, but others want to harness the Wards for their own dreams of power.
